Your a lot like me in the little details department, good job! I've got a scary feeling my new rubber seal for the aerial has started corroding already

I cant get my coilies at the mo cos my dad drives the car more (me being at uni right now), and quite frankly i dont trust him!! good thing is though it gives me plenty of time to work on the small details

finally got my BMC fitted on the weekend!
thanks to Mat for the sale and Mouse for the cold air feed guide!
I secured my breather filter with a cable tie (not too loose not to tight), to what seems to be a power steering cable, is this going to be ok? pic below with a circle around it,
Also what du guys use to connect the breather to the pipe? Mine were both the same size and caused a bit of hassle!!!
Also got this on saturday courtesy of Mr Alex Perkins

Tim, you should put some tape round the ducting where it touches the brake fluid reservoir. I found a big hole there last month after noticing a dip in power. Must of been friction combined with the heat of the engine bay. I only just added to the DIY guide this morning

so that's where the BMC went lol

any noticeable gain with the bmc on? my breather thing was the same, it was the same size as the pipe it was going onto so what i did was find some strong plastic tubing which could fit inside and the slipped the breather and pipe over that and then used the metal round things(sorry can't remember what they are called) to keep the pipes secure on there. And btw if you can try stick the pipe behind the grill it makes a hell of a difference

lovely example, the rear wiper removal looks spot on! Although to finish the OEM + look you really need some 16" RXII's, people say they dont make that much difference to the look but thats sooo not true!!! I really recommend them, almost regretted getting rid of mine to get my RM's
oh and obviously a nice drop when yours dads no longer driving

Haris: I gave the throttle body a good solid clean at the same time so all in all it's feeling alot better,
James: yeh yeh RXIIs are on the cards for summer, really like the RMs tho but dunon if its worth it seeing as there such a task to keep clean. Seeing as you've had both what would you recommend?
Are RMs really worth the hassle? My cars an everyday ride for work, personal and skateboard outings and is hard to keep clean at the moment!

A real toughy, it depends what look you are after really
The RXII's makes the car look newer & expensive, to most people they would just see it as a really sporty VW that hasnt been tinkered with, and they arent that easy to clean themselves, I love the look of them & the fact you can actually see your nice red calipers
BUT i reckon RM's are the way forward, once you've cleaned them up people literally stare at your wheels! If you are going for a look to stand out choose these and deck your car! you will also find any passing by dubber will be tooting at you and giving you the thumbs up! Not just that but the staggered stance is unbeatable, it makes the car look so mean!, and as for the cleaning, you wont ever feel as satisfied about cleaning a wheel, you may spend an hour giving them a proper once over but once you stand back your car really does shine! and the polished lips look stunning, i keep feeling like my car is still dirty because my wheels dont polish up the same, thinking of investing in some 16" RS's when i have the cash!
They are both ideal choices, its just what you prefer really, i think RXII's look better in photos though, and RM's in the flesh..

cheers for that james, its a tough decision to make!! doesnt have to be made now tho, guna wait til the summer theres no point buying now just before winter! May get my RXs refurbed tho?
Anyone know the rough price of getting them done?

Havn't touched this page for a while!!
Had my 40k service on Friday, had the usual done, spark plugs, all filters oil etc.. also had my gearbox oil changed, which makes a massive difference
Ohh (and after much debate!) got these fitted today
Proper pictures in a week or so when I'm back from uni again and she's been cleaned, let me know what you think in the mean time.
This is where OEM+ kinda got chucked outta the window

I had it done all with the service Adam, cant remember how much it said on the receipt

I was planning on putting it in the bodyshop in a few weeks but I think Lowering is more of a priority!!
