emotional attachment can you get you into some very bad places. 26 months is a far time mind you, but rest assured youll meet someone when you least expect it! (saying that, something always happens on the guys behalf to make it happen!)

I'd have to agree with you on that one Alex! The one time i tell myself i'll stay away from relationships i seem to be having more luck than ever with girls id consider way out of my league. I don't know whether to feel sad about my ex or to move on and risk getting hurt again! But yeh this isn't about me

Being single too i again agree with you and myself haha :P I was with this girl for like a year - she meant the absolute world to me, but work got in the way and it couldnt carry on.

I was well sad about it, but in the end i just looked at myself and though hey, why am i wasting my life and my free time feeling sorry for myself over something that has been done and cant be gone back on, so i just got up and decided to get on with it. Must say the last few months have been the best ever!!

I think the reason i feel bad is simply because i don't like the idea of her with someone else, we went through a lot together but it just wasn't the same so i knew it couldn't last. I guess i'm just waiting for it to get easier, when to be realistic it's down to me to move on... but i'll take your advice on how good being single is, it's been 3 and a half years :? (i know i said it lasted 2 years, i was with someone else 18 months before  )

I know what you mean - but if you get with someone new straight off theyll see it as a rebound...been there done that and its not fun!!

It hurts to see them with someone else, but rather than go beat the crap out of him/her, you just have to remember their not with you anymore and oh boy does that suck!! agression under control...what next!!

Being single is total crap, you can have alot of fun whilst being so, but underneath it all you still want a proper girlfriend (well i do anyhow!!)

yeh dude I think thats one of the worst aspects of breaking up with someone!! The best way is to stay clear of them (EXs) or anything that heavily reminds you of them, its the only way of moving on properly

My ex was my ex ex's best friend. That made things complicated! I wish you could be single and with someone at the same time, as there are all the hassles of a relationship. Had a girl said she really liked me this year, text her for ages, met up for a night out and she spent most of the night speaking to other guys :? I just walked out and got the bus home!

I did really like that girl I was after (in the thread) and still do lol

Mouse, trust me mate you dont the 'i wish you could be in a relationship and still have others' kinda thing!

I did that for 2 n a half years with yolanda (mouse knows her and was one of the sights of polo show 2006  ) and i was having the time of my life without realising what i was risking! I ended up getting caught and she finished things obviously....thats when it hit me, what the f**k have i done!

There is nothing better at the end of the night getting to cuddle up to the one you love, but in my eyes i think it was the right girl wrong time!!!! Which i am still gutted about and about what i done, cos i still have seriously strong feelings for her!

So i done the dirty, she got hurt, moved on.....and i am still struggling to move on. She is happy with another guy now, but still hurts when i hear her sayin stuff like, aw stayin in with the boy tonight etc. We are mates now and speak quite a lot but i do truely regret doing what i did!

BUT......anyways, i am now single and its awesome getting down to my sleazy antics without the worry of consequences  Havent enjoyed the single life (well, honestly) for like 3 years now so, its a burden off my shoulder!

Just sleep with loads of girls....you'll come across a keeper eventually

Dee-vub mate the same thing has just happened to me. Was with my girlfriend for 2 years and it was absolutely amazing for the first year, but then things started going downhill and have finally ended :( She goes out pretty much every night and i always hear from someone who she's 'got with'. It's only been a month but i've seen her since and i definitely still love her more than i've ever loved anyone. I still think one day we'll get back together and make it work, but in the mean time she's moving on while i just sit in all day feeling sorry for myself! I know i should be going out too (and sleeping with loads of women  ) but i feel like none of my mates ever want to go out, so i don't know what to do with myself. As gay as it sounds i honestly feel like she's broke my heart, so wtf do i do now, how do i move on and get over it!?!?!
