195/45/16 is better for those who were on stock 13s, as it sticks the speedo closer to right speed than a 40 profile does. Its wierd i know, but it makes no sense to me!
Im open to offers over £325 so have a shot!

surely because your original 13's were thinner & smaller you would need an even lower profile tyre to get closer to the right dimensions? so like 195/35/16, for the gti with 195/45/15's as standard 195/40/16 was almost bang on

I stand corrected. It puts it between 1 and 2mph out. 40 is a perfect size, so thats correct.
