Also, in picture 3 you can see 3 wires (red,brown,yellow) going into the switch...

And just buy a new one, they only cost Â£10. Probably save you doing this all again in a few years...

Just so you all know.

'The boot light' is controlled by a sliding switch within the boot lock

'The boot open warning light' is controlled by a different switch about 50mm away from the boot lock iirc.
