i had mine reconned the begining of jan when the car was on 62k then 2 weeks later 4th gear went :(

if anyone from bristol reads this then avoid mr clutch/bristol transmissions, bunch of useless t***ers, im scared to drive the car now due to the shoddy gearbox rebuild!

i've heard good things about the transmission workshop down by the bristol city football ground and mixed stuff about gloucester road gearboxes.........

i'll get a pic up in a bit of my 4th gear that i was supposedly abusing........

Well i thought id let u lot know that ive been talking 2 martin halland of reyland (if u know ur cossies aswell u will know who he is and how good he is!)
And he has agreed 2 look into developing a gearbox conversion for the polo gti /6n2 !
Basicly this means he will find a way 2 fit another fwd box into a polo (maby not a vw box) Basicly all im after is a box thats strong, cheepish and that doesnt need my polo being chopped up 2 make it fit!
So im just trying 2 guage howmuch intrest there would be in this sort of conversion as the more people that would be intrested the cheeper the conversion is more likly 2 be !

Well if it turns out to be alot stronger, better box that doesnt have a crappy plastic 5th gear, a stronger casing and is not likely to blow twice in its life span than I can imagine there will be a HUGE interest

I'd definately be interested as if I keep the car I plan on running around 160bhp
