Cheers Tim!
There are so many cheap deals around.
I joined a site called Hotelclub. The deals are great on there and each time you book, you get discount on the next booking - can't go wrong there!
Easyjet is always a good option - they fly to most European cities and their flights are silly-cheap sometimes with no hidden costs....saw some flights for just £17.99 each way!! The further in advance you book - the lower the price.
The hotel has wireless internet so i'm taking laptop - so if I get any good pics with the new camera, I'll post em on!

Yeh last minute and random flights are always the best, I'm going to new york in a month, cant wait!!

Had some problems with trying to re-book lights though, which I was really gutted about. (Basically my girlfriend bought tickets for us to go see Van Halen over there, but she managed to book the flights after the concert!!! we couldnt get the flights changed so we had to sell the concert tickets, it was a sad day  )

well by now you'll be many miles away from the UK  and you aint missing anything lol.

I always had the ambition of going travelling, but i dont think ill get time now i have a half decent job, although 2-3 day trips away in different cities does temp me, especially as i like my photography.

Maybe something ill consider in the short term future.

Anyway hope alls ok and your having fun

Phil

Cheers Phil. Yes, I am here with wireless in the hotel room.
It got up to 20oC today in the city so it is lovely to be away from home!
Started snapping a few photos although i'm still adapting to my new camera so there aren't any 'wows' in there.
Hopefully jumping on train across to Monaco tomorrow and see the F1 circuit/street. Apparently some great restaurants and casinos there too.
You should definitely try and book these little breaks - 3 days are perfect for most cities and there are so many within a 2-hour flight.
Get booking!!

Hopefully get something red in Monaco!

Here's a few pics from day 1 anyway for those bored enough to look!
As I said before...still getting to grips with the new camera so please bear with me. Although these shots are pretty basic and not challenging anyway.
