Haha DXG I'm thinking that's the same Uno that held me up coming out of town today... matched the description... got a young scally guy with a white baseball hat driving it... didnt make it over 26mph the whole way. How badly did you say you trashed it again?
(those 900cc fiat engines just fall to bits.... as they get hammered so hard... mate's panda has been retired to a field as no-claims fodder because it ended up cruising at about the same speed trailing a black cloud)
Hm, my own details
Manufacturer: Volkswagen
Model: POLO CL (what, no engine size? note the capitals though
)
Body type: 3 door hatchback
Colour: Blue (just "Blue".... "Navy" would be better, to avoid confusion with other blues)
Fuel type: Petrol
Date manufactured: 31 December 1991
Number of previous owners: 2
Last owner change: 14 August 2002
Well that's all in order, happy about that
The first owner being the garage, I hope (pre-reg?), and the second being who I bought it off. Either that or, as apparently it stayed in the family, the mother had it then sold it to the daughter, who sold it to me. In any case, they didn't know the first thing about maintenance or storage

Funny how so many of those dates are 30th or 31st december though (why not all 30th or all 31st?). Date of first registration? Funny time to do it.
As it is, if I feel like ignoring the little fact that most other people's 90'ers say the same day, and the V5 itself says October 91, then the RAC officially says my Polo was built on my 10th birthday
Damn, that's almost a bit scary
My mum's old Punto (bought used), which was my previous thrash-carriage till she sold it... ah, good times, good times. It could shift pretty well - only 75hp but similar gearing to the Polo, plus 5th.. had 118mph out of that beast once. Got thru 2 burst and one badly curb scuffed tyre (much use of that silly space-saver) til I learned to respect junctions and roundabouts, and punched a hole in the passenger door with a tree branch. At 3mph in reverse. Hehe.
Manufacturer: Fiat
Model: PUNTO 75 SX
Body type: 5 door hatchback
Colour: Blue (a totally different blue - 'ocean' rather than 'navy')
Fuel type: Petrol
Date manufactured: 30 December 1996 (again!)
Number of previous owners: 2
Last owner change: 03 September 2000 (2 weeks before i left for uni - good timing)
Still running, and owned by the chap we flogged it to, guess he's not gotten sick of that knackered ECU yet (the reason why it had to go).
Couldn't find her 1985 vintage cherry-red Panda though (with the hard-as-nails 1000cc Fire engine). Only to be expected, seeing as the poor girl who bought it wrapped it quite spectacularly around a lamp post two weeks later... (mum was heartbroken - this was 1993..), but was half expecting a description with WRITTEN OFF or similar words to appear.
New Rover in the garage is still under dealer warranty so lets dodge that... but wonder what details i can dredge up for the other people on my street... muahaha... starting with that blue maestro (a third blue. sky.) belonging to the lady over the road, who's had it since we moved in 15 years ago (what's this? a reliable leyland-era rover? jesus!)...... surely she cant have had it from new? Surely? Even Bangernomics has to have limits.
Also plan to see whether the old guy who seriously abused my brother's car before selling it to him (totally destroyed the clutch on a hill start, and totally arsed the battery somehow - despite it having the worlds loudest left-your-lights-on buzzer) had the opportunity to do so from the dealer. Something with that motor just doesn't sit right.
This should be fun. Bring on the car spotters!
