I think these wheels look very nice mate.

I do like the split rim design [of these wheels] but I'm not sure how long they'd last given our winter road conditions before you had to fork out for a refurb :(

Yeh talking from experience, BBS splits don't take nicely to winter weather!!

You've gotta take care of them to see the cold months through,

no point in having nice alloys if you don't show them off on the car for 5 months of the year!

just keep them clean and grit free 8)

yeah would love to have done that but most nights i wouldn't have finished work til 8 anyways and these are difficult to clean in the dark :?

plus there are no real shows in the 5 months over the winter and i don't feel that they need to be showed off at the local meets. they will be back on for the gti spring festival though :D

I was funny about winter wheels at first,

But quite a agree on them now. I'd love to have some alloys (like G60s) that look arite and that you dont dont hav to care about, could run your car as dirty as you liked then!!!

I can understand it, but I love my wheels and I love them being on the car the whole time - I'd hate to have to put the old ones back on if it was salty.

just my opinion, of course!

Yeh, I can imagine it would suck having winters on knowing that you've got mint wheels locked away in a garage!

in a way i agree with Dave, i didn't like the fact of taking them off but i felt it the safest option.
which is why me and my bro refurbed my tired looking old Seat wheels with a bit of a rub down and a new lick of paint!
some people actually prefer them to the BBS :?
