Should be pleased you dont have a Touareg (03 on) 3.0 V6 TDI 5d Tip Auto which in 2010 will cost £950 for 12 months

My Golf has gone up to £125 for a year.

He'll be fine Mouse, TVR's are not classed a car but instead a PLG (Personal Light Goods) so is exempt form the new road tax changes

It means my TVR costs less for me to run than my Polo!!

It is insane but why would anyne need a 4x4 with a engine like that?!?!? It's not even a true 4x4...

...this is the problem with current cars they are so heavy, even the GTI is overweight. If it weighed less it would produce better mpg, less CO2 and go qicker, everyone would be happier then

I checked it out and its £450 for 12 months - not £950 (thats the 1st year price) Still pricey though!

Opps should have read the header! lol still £950 for the first year is ridiculous!

Tusc - Have you driven a Touareg before, from that comment, I'll assume the answer is no. Having driven one off road it is more than capable! The 3L V6 engine is brilliant and I wouldn't have one with anything less that that. Would prefer the V10 TDI though. :)

No your quite right I've not driven one before but have had a few off roaders with different engines, the best of which has been a Suzuki SJ because it's light and didn't need a big engine.

My point is that the engine is impressive but could be better if the car was lighter and thus less CO2 produced. Just my opinion :D

sorry but this is balls! Pardon me getting all political, but, this government is toss!

Every time there is a budget it is always the working class drinkers, smokers and motorists that get hit! Why not tax the hell out of the rich for a change?!

Sickens me to think that I am working my arse off, paying a stupid amount of tax to fund the chav dole bums and a war that cant be won in the middle east (Feel so sorry for the troops out there) and at the end of it when I retire (which will probably be when im 80 if the gov't get their way) Im not entitled to a state pension?!

Cant see the tories being much better when the inevitably get in either!

.........Apologies for the rant, feel a lot better for getting that off my chest. :D
