a) Partly just because I can,

and b) not convinced by the corrosion resistance of the short one considering I only paid about £5 for it.

I have quite good reception from my shark fin and its the same production as the ones I made for your Polos Si and Alex etc.....guess it could be the body work as the Lupo GTI has a lot of alloy panels and not steel

In fairness mine does need tweaking slightly Mike as it is not dead centre right at the moment, and when I do loosen it to adjust the position on the roof I'll double-check that the aerial wiring is away from the roof's metal.

I drove from Shrewsbury to Stafford today and back again with Radio 1 on all teh way and yes, it fades out sometimes but overall it was listenable :)

Must get my iPod connected up to my Alpine!!!
