Got the lights in yesterday, was easy, but i didnt get the sidelights in as they didnt look like they would fit. Anyone have these blue phillips sidelight bulbs and know how to do it?its because the bulbs in at the moment need to come out of the crimped holder, and the phillips ones look too small for the holder!!
Anyway the bulbs look good, very white glow off them, took some pics below, really need these sidelights in as they are looking very yellow in comparison now.

The bulbs from powerbulbs came today. Will fit them after work, and will post a before and after pic..

I'm worried these sidelights are too blue.. we'll see.

Any more comments about the Polo's side light bulbs - I've never had a look at them but just hoped that they would end up being the "usual" type - from reading this thread it now seems not!

Well that sounds good enough for me - maybe others that had problems should take another look.

Yeah I replaced mine this week, got the Phillips Bluevision H7 and sidelights. The actual side light bulbs do look pretty blue, once they're in they are just very bright white - should slot straight into the sidelight holders.

Fitting them is the most tricky bit :x need contortionist hands to get round and up..

on the deisels there worse, i had slit wrists and cuts all over me trying to replace mine.

they should be something that you can swap at side of the road in 30 seconds, not 30+ mins

Yeah can imagine there isn't much room left with a tdi, awkward enough with the 1.2

yea got mine in eventually, took me over half an hour, the sidelights are hard to get at, very hard, and the dipped beams have to be perfectly aligned!!!why cant things be made easier!!??think i scratched my dipped bulbs on the way in, and consequently, theres a bit of variance in the beams, stronger in some places than others, aw well!!
