If your looking for a clutch try GSF, they do the cluth kit for the GTi for £86,

tried them, they are supplying one for 120 for the whole kit , found a sachs one from the motorvated factor for 112 , whole kit

thats not a clutch related problem, theres an air leak somewhere

ok i got diagnostic done, and an error popped up saying the air sensor maf is faulty. changed it and still the same problem. even done another diagnostic and it said no error! this is very weird now..

got told by 2 people and read it in the haynes manual that it could be the fuel filter. Changed it and still same thing!

This is a very strange problem. Your coming to edition right? Ill have a run over it with vag come when were there.

FINALLY got it sorted. It was in fact the clutch. Got a valeo clutch installed supply and fitted for 220!.. so for future reference, if someone does experience this problem, get the clutch checked out!
