Yeh you see I have 0 NCB, but have had no claims in the 3 years I've been driving. So I'd say that kind of evens out our situations

, so I can't understand why they quoted me over £2k!

Why no NCB tim? named driver or change of companies too much?

Named driver, stupid mistake! I have 1NCB as a named driver on directline, but that's no use to any other insurance company, and directline are no use to me! So I'm a little stuck.

I'm 24 (23 at time of renewal)
2yrs NCB
standard car
£620 through direct line
Got a discount for having my home insurance through them as well though
Us young drivers get a pretty raw deal I think.
Pishes me off to think there are pensioners driving round in performance motors, who probably cant even read the insurance certificate without 3" thick lenses, let alone spot potential hazards 20 yards away! But still get quotes of £10 a year.

Have a read of this thread that I hijacked off the uk-mkivs.net forum, shows how insurance companies rate your postcode. On to a loser if your postcode is close to a crime spree!
