jack - i would've got them already but theres a silver 9n thats started to drive about my town with them on so it's a no-no lol

tim - i want something different, that hasn't been done. i know it's my car and if i like it then it's ok. but in the back of my mind i will be thinking i'm copying and want to change them. also david burton has them and we'll have the same car practically lol.

the main contenders so far are:

TT Comps - mine need a major overhaul before they go anywhere near a car (i got them because they were so bad the powder coaters wouldn't do them lol)
Borbet A
Merc AMG style
A6 Reps

my all out fave wheel is a Borbet A, but i want the ones with the 2/3" dish and don't know if they'l fit lol - need to find someone with them so i can test fit.

on a happier more interesting note - my coilovers arrived yesterday.
now just need someone to fit them for me.. anyone? (i'll drive to you :))

Borbet As with a black centre would look nice. I'm sure you could get 8-9s on there without too much trouble. Speak to Chris9N, he's got a nice stance on his Schmidts, ask him what size and offset they are.

Not sure if you can get the borbet a's in anything other than et15 for 9inch wide. And even worse is that 5x100 seem pretty rare

Merc wheels are a good call, just gotta find something cool that'll fit, I searched for ages, really wanted a set of the penta 5spokes they're pretty cool. Or a set of porsche turbo 2's (the doglegged spoked ones) 9inch rears, 7ish fronts would look sweet on your car for a cool oem+ look

Borbet A in 9x16 5x100 are fairly easy to come by.

You want the flat caps too.

9x16 et15 would go on the back, just, with some camber added but on the front would be too much.

You can get em in 7.5x16 et20. They would go but have smaller dishes. I have 7.5x16 et20 (after adapters) audis on my 9n. Looks very nice.

how much will 9j et15 stick out the arches?

i'm currently running 6.5j et23 and there about 3mm in the arch so surely they will be a good inch out?

Way to work it out is 9-6.5=2.5inches. This is 62.5mm, divide this by 2 = 31.25mm (it's either side of the centre line that why 1/2).

So if they were same offset (et23) they'd stick out 31.25mm. As they offset is 8mm lower then add that to that figure.

39.25mm sticking out more than the current wheels. I suspect you're don't stick out 3mm at the back.

That's still a lot.

Looks like 7.5x16 et20s really.

Sorry read your post again. 36.25mm sticking out if yours are 3mm in.

Edit: on the back, with camber or flaring that would be ok.
