Exactly as Tim said its worth having your own policy in the long run. If you're 17 then its likely you'll remain in the 17-25 bracket for a loooong time. So why go on someone else's policy only to pay an immense amount on following years? Just doesn't make sense :roll: Build up as much NCB as you can as early as you can :wink:

My record when I was 21 after passing my test;

1st yr 1.4CL = £1500
2nd yr 1.4CL = £780 (Huge decrease cos 2nd year and 1 NCB)
3rd yr 1.4CL = Quoted £460 with 2 NCB but bought the valver.

You should only go down as a 2nd driver if insurance isn't feasable but then again you should think about that before purchasing a car and start on a 1.0L :idea: Include everything on your total budget.

try endsleigh. i found by going into the office my quote was about £500 cheaper than the quote they gave me online. i pay about £1200 a year 3rd part f&t, but that was considerably effected by having modifications. im only 18 as well. my car kept on a street was registered as being kept in a secure lock up.
