Oh and the aluminium is VERY strong its been tig welded and thats mega hot welding and qwenched imidiatly giving the metal stronger propertys!
Iys solid bar so is no weakness in the bar, id have solid ali bar front and back if i could insted of thin steel!
Still no polybushes for rear im goin drilling lol!
Trottas lil update, lcr fitted and brace problems lol!
It does not matter how you treat the ali....it will flex a lot...even a solid bar when compared to a similarly sized mild steel tube....
If you have access to TIG, then make the bar out of stainless...and polish her up:)
If you do decide to drill holes in your strut towers MAKE SURE that you put very large spreader washers/plates underneath the bolts to spread the load of the bolts....you dont want to distort the tower mounts!!

Yeah dude i know i work on cars everyday, adding a washer to the hole drilled in the chassis from the underside is an obvious thing uva wise wen under tension would pull fru the nut, work on old rolls royces and bentleys new and old actually for 8 hours every day lol!! so i no wot to do around motors and wot not!
Ali is the future lol and heat treating ali will give it silly amounts of strengh, once welded it becomes very strong m8, honestly its more than enough for the flex its so strong its a hold in ur hand test that will change u over to the ali side!
il do a holo thin crapy steel one and an ali one solid bar and test em out, if u wanted to bend ur strut brace like my omp one at the front u could easily do it but a solid ali bar the same thickness ud break ur leg, hard to explain really!

Cant be arsed to argue with you....But I have worked in the aerospace industry...working with aluminium and other bizzre metals.... I do know a thing or two about materials!
