The Punto is just uber-good looking, even the horrible stick out mirrors can't spoil it's looks

IMO i'd go the the Alfa hands down, its sounds good, interior is good, handling is good and that V6 will give you the power you want.
I drove the grande punto's a while back was quite disappointed the engines do not deliver the power you would expect (I put my foot down on the 1.2 and lets say my tortoise could of reached 0-60 faster and the bigger engines are not much faster, basically its chav speed proof

). The handling is ok, but i found the steering was getting juggery where the road was vibrating the wheels, which was knocking the steering wheel slightly left to right, making long journeys a pain in the a** .

I understand if people don't like the Punto, when it first came out I thought it was hideous, especially the front. Now I think it's a very nice design.
Mmmm, Alfa GTV. I think when I win the lottery I will buy all the cars I've listed, and maybe a GT-R and R8 too

^ I would buy one of those any day! Seriously mate
An easier find would be an S3. Thats what I would look at.
Its a shame to hear of lots of mk5 polo owners wanting to sell up but I guess when you say it 8 years sounds pretty old. My car will be worth nothing when I come to sell it!
Alfa's reliability is not bad at all, all rumours

i'm all for the clio v6..it was one of the cars i was seriously contemplating getting, but besides the looks & rarity its massively overpriced & underpowered... are you really willing to buy a french mk4 r32 which maybe a bit rarer but is slower, not as reliable, more expensive & not as pretty???
The nail in the coffin for me was the interior though, it looks sooo tacky
If you buy one though, please bring it to a uk-p meet & take me for a drive

^ all true but theres just something about them
I would strip most of out anyway and put in some nice bucket seats
There is also a bodykit for it that basically smooths everything of, debadges etc. It looks the nuts. Imagine some bbs wide rims on one also.
I may have to do a photoshop

My mate has a clio v6, and it is an absolutely immense drive, and you never get bored of the awesome engine sound just behind you!
But it's still just a clio to me

500 Abarth is going to be on Top Gear soon. The thing putting me off the Clio V6 is running costs. I'm starting a job next month with a 25 mile commute that takes 1 hour to get in, then another 25 miles and hour to get out so not the best car
