..... no..... ESP is usually "Electronic Stability Program"..... Which DOES use the brakes to help stabalise the car in corners...
Traction control is something totally different... and is a combination of ESP and some clever computerised clutch/diff systems...

ESP aids the ABS as does TCS. It measures the angle and the speed of the front wheels, and ESP automatically brakes on individually wheels if it senses the car is losing traction or starting to skid to stop it from happening - trust me its ESP and TCS which aid the ABS in the brakes. TCS is also connected to the gearbox, to add harder drive where its needed, but it uses the brakes tooP0l0_GTi wrote:ABS controls the brakes, ESP is traction control LOLalexperkins wrote:ESP controls the brakes though and not the gearbox

Yes, Indeed ESP and TC isnt same things but similar systems. In fact my car, when ESP is ON i cant spin wheels ! When i make it OFF the spinning on the front wheels is so easily. I cant tell it how does it work on fast wet corners. I havent test it. But for sure ESP reflects on the spinning of the wheels.alexperkins wrote: ESP aids the ABS as does TCS.
