Cheers mate, Im pretty sure 99% of everyone with a GTI dreams of the 20v T conversion so there is probably a market out there but you guys no better than me i am new to polos, before i was heavily involved in the saxo community and had a cracking example but you move on.

I was having a little think last night about my shopping list and whether this 'kit conversion' idea is realistic. so far on my shopping list is

Engine spec list
Conversion Parts

Engine

BAM engine 800-1300
Ibiza 20vt drive shafts Unknown
2 pinion 6speed gearbox 600
Custom Down pipe Custom made by me
Custom Exhaust Made by me
QPE Managment (undecided) 800
Engine Mounts Custom made by me
Blitz Spec r boost controller 250

Service Parts

Uprated Clucth 150
Oil Free
Belts/filters/Plugs/ leads Free

Suspension/Chassis/Brakes

Strut braces? Custom???
FK highsport silverline coilovers 475
Powerflex wishbone bushes 30
4 Pot brakes 200-500

Its not a full break down of everything obviously but it gives you an idea of the parts i intend to use.

Now my idea would be to contact the manufacturers direct with maybe 10 of your guys names down on the list for the conversion kit and get a discount of 10 of the items, it wont be much for one item but will all add up in the end, and then i will obviously fabricate anything custom that is needed for it so you will recieve at your door everything you need to get a serious engine in a car that always deserved it!

Welcome to the site mate. Liking the project so far.

I would be interested in a kit of such, but am in no means educated enough to carry it out myself at this stage. And have no funds to front it!

Good luck though. Keep us updated 8)

we have used ibiza cupra driveshafts on mine. custom mounts also had to be made.
the main thing you are missing from your kit though is what you are going to do about the wiring of the engine loom......

what loom do you plan on using though?

it is possible to mount it without cutting any chassis

I will try and use as much as the original BAM engine loom and modify it for the standalone and the polo dials and interior etc.

and yes im pretty possitive nothing needs to be cut structurally
