You have two pipes
one 12mm and one 19mm.
Do you need a breather filter on each?
you need one breather of 19mm as i just posted above
the other breather needs to be cut out of the exisiting airbox/engine cover
what you need to do is unscrew the airbox off the bottom of the engine cover take out the filters and you should see the bit im on about!
then for looks sake chop the back left mounting leg off the airbox and screw it back to the engine cover then you can trim your engine cover around your cda to get a neet finish like mine and your ignition leeds look better that way!
We got there in the end!

Canceled my order from Kamracing, finaly got hold of them today. Reordered the BMC from rimstyle and a couple of hoses and clips direct from siliconhoses. And did what you said and just ordered the breather from eBay. Luckily ebay contacted me and gave me £20 off a purchase so got the breather for free. Was going to buy an oil catch but decided on sticking with your tip and going to cut it out of the engine cover.

Re: K&N or BMC CDA and fitment?
catch tanks are SOOOOOOO much better than little filters!

how many well modified/ race cars do u see with those filters on?????????

hey guys, been reading through the posts.
i've bought the k&n kit from lolhoward but been reading about the spitting oil?
i've not had a induction kit before so if anyone could explain about it a little more id appreciate it.
also how to go about fitting the filter or a catch tank
cheers

if you read through the thread I explain which valve you need to cut out and you just block the hole on the bottom of the k+n

Or you can fit a catch tank which I was going to do (get them cheap on eBay) until I decided on the BMC.
Re: K&N or BMC CDA and fitment?
there really is no poing in a catch tank on this car jsu tuse the one way valve
Re: K&N or BMC CDA and fitment?
hi im new to this whole scene,
just wandering i have a 9n 1.4 16v (75bhp) and want to buy a K&N induction kit. Will i notice differences if i dont use the stock airbox, i.e will it be quicker
Thanks

Re: K&N or BMC CDA and fitment?
^ quick answer is no.
At first I was in the same situation. I am now running the stock airbox btw. A replacement panel filter is a good bet but a proper cone setup will sound nicer. Neither will give you noticable gains but combined with a remap, maybe.
Hope that helps some
