That's pretty much it yeah.
Fogs were not standard on my model so they're now fitted.
The mirror was always black.
New number plates and holder.
Stubby aerial that you can't see!
And yesterday, sprayed the grille surrounds...hre's the pics:

Top tip - avoid trying to spray paint when it's windy! :x

Ah Yeh of course! ahould have noticed the black surround. Looks really good, with the GTi lights it looks more agressive 8)

I'm not really sure if the mask works that well...I think a chrome one would work better with Olympic blue, but that's not my call :) Still looks good :)

Either way, I think I've got my bases covered. Charlie, you owe me a cookie :D

Ash :)
The lower grilles had fog holes ready and it tok me a couple of months to finally fill them!

Thanks for the comments. Chrome would've been an option but trickier to spray myself and be happy with a finish.
I went for black to keep in touch with the black headlights. Think it looks a little moodier?

Cheers Tim!
I prepped it (felt pretty scary putting sandpaper to perfect paintwork) and Chris spayed it up for me.
The paint finish came out realy nicely - better than his driver paintwork :?

Ah I see...didn't realise you sprayed it yourself. Is it satin black or gloss? Looks like satin from the pics.

I thought it was one of those masks you stuck on before I saw your last post. Which is why I mentioned chrome. Like this http://www.orange-tuning.de/shop/kamei- ... 15293.html

Anyway, your ride looks swish...kudos for spraying it yourself as well :D I wouldn't have the confidence

It's a gloss paint - which would've come up shinier with a couple more coats but we stopped at around 4 coats as we were happy with it at that stage.
I guess thats the advantage of spraying it yourslf - it's a gradual progress and you can stop when you're happy. :D
I may well put another couple of coats on at a later date, i'm undecided.

Cheers for the comments peeps!

He's pretty hacked off with it but it'd cost more money to get it resprayed professionally. With 5/6k already gone in it's another dip into the savings.
It drives perfectly though and really responsive. I just hope he thinks a little longer before committing to sell.

It'll be at Santa Pod tomorrow as well so I guess people will give their opinions then
