hey, just got a polo last week and its already been to the garage three times for the emissions light, first time was the lamda sensors, and second time was the breather hoses for the engine had perished and it was drawing air in, which caused poor fuel consumption so the emissions light came on! light came back on day after i got them replaced and car wouldnt start in petrol station, its been back in the garage today, got a new engine coolant sensor which seems to have done the trick. If u have problems with warm starts its likely to be that!

Which engine type do you have and what is its age and mileage?
