Looks really good from the front, don't like the back or side much. Interior is nice though..

Mk8 you mean 
This one looks more than it's Golf counterpart than ever, even the dashboard is a clone of the Golf practically. It's a bit bland but at the same time I like it. It looks quality. Dash board design reminds me of the new Punto a little. Doesn't look better or worse than the Mk7 which is simple and effective. Side profile is boring. I preferred the evolutionary design of the Mk4 through to the Mk7, it was a nice shape. Just hope the standard models are exciting to drive for a change because that's always been the downfall for the Polo (with exception of the hot models). I'd still rather have the new Fiesta.
Must say it is much nicer than the pile of crap that is the new Ibiza
