Re: Advice needed!!
im 16, yet to turn 17 soon, i have already purchased a 1.6 polo mk4,, i have done a few duff quotes and ive been getting around £1800-£2100 mark but when i turn 17 and pass ill ring places up and try and get 1years no claims from my moped onto the car which i have heard you can do.. so for me on a 1.6 im looking at £2100 most probably
Re: Advice needed!!

Re: Advice needed!!
Good choice going for the 1.4. I used to have one but had driven a 1.2 as a courtesy car and you'd be amazed by the difference!
As for insurance - I really don't think there is any one company in particular to swear by. Their prices seem to compete with different criterias every year and postcodes can make a massive difference.
You're probably best just going on comparison sites - MoneySupermarket have been finding the cheapest quotes for me for about 3/4 years now.
My latest search has shown an increase of just £50 a year when switching from a 1.4 to a GTi which surprised me! (28 years old, female, 6 points, no claims)
I thought that premiums could get lower when an experienced driver went on the policy, but apparently it doesn't work like that anymore and the price is still based on the new driver
