Alright guys this month will be ordering 185/45/15 x4 Brigestones tyres... ( if people think other tyres are better please let me know) i want good tyres dnt slide around the whole place..

id run 165's to be honest they look imense! I can fit them for you if your struggling to find somewhere!

165s on 8s would be no fun.

Prabz i'm fairly sure you can only get 185/45s in nankang NS2s

Have you run these dude? I've seen them, but weren't sure if they would give me any more clearance than my 185/45s

I havent run them personally but my mates gti runs 8x15 th lines with 175-50's

Anyway back to the original topic. Wheels have arrived, want to get rubber on them asap. What would people suggest seeing as 165/50's seem a bit unsafe?!

185s/45s are a good and safe bet.

If you want to go really low though, and every millimetre counts, go with 165/50s. They're not unheard of going on 7.5s, some people even ride with them on 8s. But I'd only choose them if your after a serious stance, and don't trash it about.

You do realise that the more stretch you have the more load is put on the side-wall of the tyre? Its got more chance of blowing out especially if you do alot of motorway driving.

I think a 195/45/15 tyre is sufficient on a 15" rim, but anyways, that's my opinion.

Yes Major stretch will cause problems if you are booting the car every where and dont look after your tyre pressure's
but there are 1000's+ of people running them on a daily basis, Just like anythink else though if its not looked after its not gona look after you!

Exactly, I'm on what I class the limit for 8js at the moment which is 185/45s, but I never boot it about. My stance prevents me from doing that anyway

Are you sure they are not Nankang?

I have never seen bridgestones in this size
