I had the michellins Piolt exalto 2's or PE 2's on my clio and they were ace tyres even really good in the wet

Yep, most of the top brand tyres are a lot better grip wise - you really notice it in the wet.
I've been through many sets over the years and rate Bridgestone Turanzas, BF Goodrich Profiler Sports and also my current Uniroyal Rainsports. I did not get on with the Avon ZV3s or Yokahama Paradas on my Polo. And that's just what I remember!

I'm running Pirelli P Zero's at the mo all round, was going to go for Goodyear Eagle F1's but these were slightly cheaper. The Pirelli's seem pretty good to be honest
