Re: Removing the bonnet
Right its dead easy - I just had a look.
The strut is removable - you basically get a flat head screwdriver, lever it under the clip on the back of the gas strut (there is one at each end). If you lever the clip, it will move back then you can pop the strut off the ball joint.
You dont need to remove the nut, or saw anything off!

Thanks mate, was literally just going to saw the captive nut off!
Off topic one for you - toe settings, what is best to run on the front to preserve tyres? Any ideas?

Re: Removing the bonnet
lol no probs
to be fair, its not a department i generally delve into. Just get it set properly by someone with laser equipment and all should be all good.

Re: Removing the bonnet

Re: Removing the bonnet
You have to remove the washers, disconnect the hoses from them and then pull it through. Its fiddly!

Done everything and was just putting down the bonnet waiting for that satifying 'click' and no nothing! Damn thing wont shut properly. i've tried it in some many slightly different locations on the brackets that i've lost count. The metal bar on the bonnet itself satis right in the jaw of the locking mech but it just wont click shut
