Thankyou man thats very kind.

Not much of an update really, last week i decided to fix the new red grill piping i bought alittle better than i had done.Once i took it off i kinda decided to leave it off for the time being looks pretty clean without it and im liking the OEM ness haha.I also bought some new front indicator units as the old ones seemes to have weathered alittle around the edges and looked alittle tatty (not bad for almost 10 years old).Ive fitted the new ones now and they do look alittle tidier which im pleased about. An addition is the VW Toureg lithium torch.

I have also sourced a Brochure for the 6N2 range from 2001,i guess i just bought it for curiosity but its nice to have a browse through.Makes me think how sweet these cars must have been when they first came out  .

I bought it off ebay there is a guy on there called "monzaboy686" sells lots of VAG brochures. It looks like it's never been opened and was in immaculate condition, think i paid about £4 posted for it.Good to flick through and pop on the parcel shelf for shows etc.

Again another small update, after going through abit of a suspension saga i decided to go for some adjustable coilovers.Even though i only plan on lowering the car a mere 40mm or so i wanted to be able to get the height exactly how i wanted it,buying an expensive shocks/spring setup would be a real waste of my time and money if the drop wasn't what i was after.

So i have received my new suspension today and will hopefully be fitting it tommorrow so pictures to follow.Quality seems to be quite good which i was hoping for, just thinking of something to cover the threads in to stop the dreaded seizing.

Cheers Ben.

Coilovers were fitted today, fairly straight foward to had no problems what so ever.A friend kindly did most of the work at his garage as a private job.Im very pleased with the end result, going to give it a week or so and check the measurements then if needed re-adjust them if need be.Many will argue that it needs to go lower etc etc but im bored of that in the VW scene,it's the height i was after which is the main thing. No pictures as of yet but i will get the camera out tomorrow.

Haha thanks man,i bought it off Steven Mouse_gti for £15 posted. They're just over £23 from the dealer but go on ebay for about £17.Abit steep for such a small item i don't really know why i bought it to be honest lol. It's pretty impressive though.

I still haven't taken any pictures but have been out in the GTI this weekend and it handles an awful lot better through corners now things are alot stiffer.Going to re-adjust them at the weekend (i think the back needs to come down a tiny bit) then get it booked in for 4 wheel alignment.

Can't wait to see some pics bradley, glad to hear your happy with the coilovers too.

Its a difficult decision to make if your not looking for the "slammed" look. I think you have made the right choice :D
Mine isnt sitting very low either to be honest, looks far better than the factory ride height but doesnt look silly low.

I think the 4 way laser alignment is a good decision, I just had my camber adjusted and then got it tracked. It was 6-7mm out on the tracking and feels much better now. Laser alignment is next on the list for me too.

Well this weekend i re-adjusted the suspension and wound the back down a tad so that it sat level.I also made a trip to my local VW dealership to collect some wiper parts.Upgraded the front and rear wipers to Aero setups :) .

Mine are Hicon GT's hence the different colours of components.I couldn't justify so much more money for dampening that i honestly wouldn't use myself.
