2.0 are sooo slow... I test drove one before getting the GTI as a mate of mine had a high spec one going cheap. Nice car but no performance whatsoever

Yeah they really are gutless in fairness, even the 1.8T golf isnt any quciker than the Polo when standard.
Obviously the Anniversary edtions are because they run the 180 map and not 150.

How come you went for the 2.0 dude? was it just because you wanted a bigger car?

The Golf he had just happened to be the 2.0. Was basically the size of the car that swung it.
Have done the swap now and the Polo is currently on ebay with a £1500 start price & no reserve. Absolute bargain!
