Agreed, i thinks its pretty cool that its a fairly quiet forum. If i have a polo question (about to pop one on in a minute!) i know im going to get a decent answer and no replys on my build thread just saying "lower it" or "you should of done this"

Aye, technical questions on Clubpolo seem to be bombarded with sarcasm

Guys like Alex and Tim are a credit to the forum, always come back with detailed technical help

Was saying to Alex we should all meet up sometime,it would be a trek but what a meet it would be.

I would certainly be up for that

I guess the most obvious location would be in the midlands somewhere, we all seem to be dotted all over the country so somewhere central would be fair for everyone

They did make 3000 UK examples so not quite 1/10 but they certainly are rare

My silver 5 door is very rare! Mine was off the road for 4 months this year having 2 gearboxes

I'd need a couple weeks notice but yeah id be up for this for sure, not to much decent weather left this year so guess we should try and start getting it going....~runs off to start topic~

Yeah weather will turn even worse soon, especially when the clocks go forward in October.

They made 3000 UK Examples

500 - Black 3 doors
500 - Black 5 doors
500 - Silver 3 doors
500 - Silver 5 doors
500 - Red 3 doors
500 - Red 5 doors

Apparently those figures are from Volkswagen.
I must admit I have seen a lot more 3 doors than 5 doors but the figures above are supposed to be correct.

VW breakers seem to have loads in there yards.

I think a lot have been written off, there's always one or two on ebay that are being scrapped.

Makes them rarer though, which is cool but not necessarily a good thing.
