Ha ha yep a Plymouth boy im afraid. So your up in Exeter Godderz. Not very far, I go up to the cash and carry there a fair bit and if i need any VW bits im normally up there as the Plymouth guys are not as helpful.

So iv had the BMC installed for 3 days. Im very pleased with it. However think i will be using a lot more fuel just to get that noise from it :D

I have also put in some LED sidelights to kind of match the xenons as they were a horrible yellow colour before. Will try and get some pics up soon.

Sounds like a good update Endi :) You don't mind me asking, where'd you get your sidelights? Were they easy enough to fit? I'm looking for some myself.

I got them from Ultraleds.co.uk. They are really bright and almost match the blue but not quite. They took ages to fit. One of my headlight washers was also leaking and broken so i had the bumper off any way. But it is very much worth it. I had some on my old 6n2 1.0 and they took about 4 seconds to fit as they were not xenon. Here is the link for the ones i got dude:

Here is what they look like:

I think they look good but its a shame they were not just that bit more white to match the xenons. Well worth getting though as i much prefer them to the horrible yellow ones.

I have had a good go at ebay and managed to get some new front original mats, a short aerial (meant to be from a VW Sharan but im a bit skeptical wether it will work as well as the OEM), an original front GTi badge as my I is all faded and an original 6n2 brochure.

Will update when it all comes :D

Right then, today i spent all day tinkering with the old polo. The cold air feed hose had been abrading on a few things such as the brake fluid reservoir so have patched that up with some good thick tape. I have also fitted the new mats and the new sharan aerial which looks really smart, however the signal is crap. I guess i can overcome this by adding an amp in behind the head unit???

I have also given the car a bloody good clean outside. I have cleaned and polished the windows, Treated the plastic trim and rubber trim, polished the headlights, polished the car and then put some bloody expensive wax on it. Im pleased with the finish though. Looks really good:

Then to finish off for the day i put the new GTi badge on the front grill. Do any of you guys know where i could get a new i as in GTi for the rear as mine has gone white?? I got the front one off ebay but it is a genuine one. Also does any one know the VW centre cap size for the BBS alloys? Would really like to get some new ones as these ones have oxidised a bit.

Car looks great Endi :)

The Sharan aerial looks pretty cool but the reception just wasn't good enough for my liking :( I too am looking for an aerial booster so If i come across one I'll give you a heads up.

Centre Cap size is 56mm and the GTI badge, again, probably easily enough available from the dealer but I'm sure you could find a genuine one on ebay.

A cheaper way of refurbing your red "i" is by buying some of this and cutting it to size:
