Fully comp.
Have tried other places and have found no where as near as cheap.
Attually phoned sky insurance for a quote and I could literally hear his eyes pop out of his head when I told him how much I pay with direct line
.
Wow that is really cheap! Best Direct Line offered me was £900.
You will be surprised when you come round to renew, most people I have spoken too now who have just renewed are in the same boat.
Might see if putting the other half on as a second driver lowers the quote.............

OK added the other half and now got my quote down to £550 fully comp.
Up £100 from last year but given the current circumstances and that in general insurance premiums have gone up I'd say that quote is pretty decent.
Thanks verity, never really thought of adding anyone else on my insurance, but its done the trick.

This just goes to show how they bend you over.
The insurance game seems to be pick a number and hope they pay. A mate got a WRX brand new a few years ago 19 with 2 years NCB and was quoted 5k. He asked if he could pay it there and then and they said no, we can't actually insure you! WTF???
He was gonna pay 5k and they said no!

Just got a quote with VW insurance, suprisingly cheap, £20 cheaper than my best quote.
I always add my Mother as additional driver & it makes it a lot cheaper as it spreads the risk & she's been driving 15+ yrs with no claims etc...
I have tried Admiral & bell - both not as cheap as Swift or VW, will try Directline & aviva later

Very interesting! Often wondered if they would do that!
Especially the 11k quote for the ed30. Was tempted to phone up and accept just to see what the insurance attually said.

I dunno if I get extra off for staying with them?
This is my second renewal with them. Locality discount maybe?

20. 21 March
I don't do many miles a year, and I have have a secure private drive way.
But i think the main thing is I live in a really really low risk area so I think that helps massively

That's mental, your certainly getting one hell of a deal.
I live in a low risk area too, the only known criminals are sheep and farmers with eyes that meet in the middle

Its so cheap because Verity is female.
Unfortunatley us males have to pay over the odds for the youngsters that crash their 106's into signposts and think their lewis hamilton.
when i first insured my 6n2 at 19 with 2 year no claims i payed 1200 fully comp in my own name, then when i sold up and got the 9n3 gti i have just payed 1400 on admiral again with 3 years no claims 20 years old.
