5 litres Quantum Synta Silver Oil 10W40
Part Number - ZGB 115 QLB 005 11

That's the stuff most people use and its Semi-Synthetic (I think :) )

I used the NGK iridium plugs in mine last time I changed them, I think they were £12 for the set but they seem really good and it never fails to spark :) . I think the standard NGK's will be fine though, the Bosch plugs are highly rated too.

Thanks, yeah heard good things about the bosch ones! are the NGK iridium ones any specific model number? or do they all fall into the same category? where is best to buy these from? cheers

Personally i wouldent bother with Ht leads as they don't show characteristics of 'wear' that the plugs do.i'd Replace them when they go wrong.

They are pretty expensive too at nearly £15 each from VW, although if your old ones are looking tatty then it is worth getting them changed, it will make your engine bay look fresher too.

I would avoid the Bosch Super 4's mate, they are good plugs but they have 4 electrodes which is uneccesary to be honest, just stick to the NGK's or get a set from Volkswagen

been looking at the ngk iridiums you told me about, quite tempted by them, deffinitely looking for something above standard plugs as the only way is up :-D
