There are quite a few good DIY guides for little bits you can do yourself. Shortened door pins etc.

Have a read through some of the build threads for ideas.

The red grill trim is easy enough to do.

91K?! that has had a ver ver good life by the looks of it. Very very clean indeed! Lowering definitely improves the look of these cars sevenfold! Wheels arn't too bad- i reccommend the diy lip refurb at some point though

Lowering it is the first thing on my list, but unfortunately I only have mere pennies to my name at the moment. I'll be sure to update with pictures as soon as it's done!

The scary thing is my mother now wants a GTI Maybe I can convince her to lend me some money and get the ball rolling!

My mum hates my car lol she says it's the most uncomfortable thing she's ever driven quite the insult considering I remember being 5 and climbing out a poo brown MG metro !. Anyway her z3 is worse I smack my head on the roof Every time I get in it !.

Slow just means more people see it so all the more reason to mod and make it worth looking at

haha thats a good idea! my dad's in love with my old car. he drives it everyday. the GTIs not quite for him tho haha

ive been to cheltenham cruise before but always as a passenger in other peoples cars.

Haha Verity, I wanna give him a good clean then go somewhere to get some good pictures this weekend... For you to perv all over of course! My ma is a proper girl racer I swear haha, I'm sure she'll be taking it out for a spin when she visits.

you should soo make a trip to Halfords in malvern in the afternoon, when a certain GTI would be sat out the back

I can't today as I have to get my Papi back home to the doctors, but i'll be up for a weekend soon and then I definitely will
