Right, not happy at all now.

I have stripped the Golf back to standard, removing all the audio bits and I just got a message from the Polo guy saying he wont do the swap unless I have the V5 logbook for the Golf! Thanks to the crappy garage I bought it from, I am still waiting for it... I reapplied for the V5 two weeks ago and have literally just got a letter from them today saying they are dealing with it BUT! They won't do anything until the 25th October and then it could take up to 5 days after then before I receive it in the post!!

So I am not happy at all! I now have a bog standard Golf with no radio at all fitted and I may still have it two weeks down the line.

I told him I have the confirmation letter from the DVLA and a photocopy of the V5 before I sent it. He said no but he will talk to his partner tomorrow and let me know what's going on.

that really sucks!!!! i hope you sort it out all soon!! shame on the garage for being laze

Well, I am no longer getting this as the owner has decided to keep it and sell it instead of swapping like he originally! He waited until two hours before I was supposed to pick it up before he told me... £220 insurance wasted which is going to take a week to get back!

My advice, if you come across it on any swap site then don't bother... the guy is a time and money waster.

I still want a polo gti so I am on the lookout for one haha.

At least you can get one the colour and spec you want and minus the problems.

I want a red one haha!

I need to get saving now... plus I need to sell my Golf.
