Yeah the black headlining makes the interior a 100x better, like the GTI should of been! It's a fair bit of work with the retrimming and spraying the plastics and door seals black but it's well worth it!

As Emma mentioned the V plate GTI's were the very first GTI's out of the factory, not many of them knocking about.

Most of the V Plate GTI's didnt come with "GTI" badges on them thats both the front and back, no idea why it just happened with the early cars.

I'm not sure how much it's lowered by I just trial and errored it till it sat right.

Ahh I see, mine had front and rear all red GTI badges!
I've not seen many with the all red badges, I've heard some of the early GTI's didn't have climatronic either but mine has.

Those red badges are after market badges mate

Standard OEM GTI badges are chrome with a red "I"

Those Red ones do look pretty good though

I'm sure there original to the vehicle coz the front and rear ones are exactly the same...
Anyhooo theyre a break from the norm I spose!

Just bought myself a .99 relay to do programmable wipers, so I'll fit that tomorrow after I retrieve from ze post office!

Yeah they do look smart and suit it but they are from a MK4 Golf GTI and not original to the Polo

Alot of people change the front and back these days, usually its the badges from the later Polo GTI

Yeah the all red gti badges indicated the top power spec gti I think the 180 annis? Like if it had just the red I it was a 130 red t and I was a 150 and all red for the anni I believe something along those lines anyway

Ah right I see, I always thought it was coz it was an early GTI coz when I went to get a key coded by a mate who works at vw he couldn't get it to code straight away so the registered tech came over To help and said "bloody ell this is an early one" coz of the badges! Ah well there's me thinking it was special! Haha

Got the .99 relay for the bargain price of £2 from fleabay! A little job for the weekend!

Yours would have been like my old GTI originally with no badges on a V plate lol no idea why VW did that though
