i've had 120 on the speedo a few times (very very late at night on an empty and stupidly long road) and it still pulled, I didn't want to take it over that as it felt a bit unstable lol

On a private road, of course, I managed 133 with my stock GTI

Nah I agree with Jon, its gotta be a fairly subtle note for me too. Saw a Golf Mk2 a few weeks ago at the traffic lights with an exhaust that rumbled so loud and deep that you could
feel it as well as hear it
Mate's Polo Mk4 has a powerflow system on it, cat back straight-thru and on the quietest possible set-up using the baffles. Sounds really nice to me! Only a slight difference in tone at idle but a lot sportier at high-end revs and not too loud

you'd never tell it was there though, he's had it cut to fit behind the bumper...

yeah some ppl have LOUD and we can feel it rumbling
i like the sound of the BMW's 330i engine... subtle and roars when planted

My 1st gti hit 139 mph and this one hits 134 mph but this could be down to the Gearbox rebuilds.
I hit 155 mph in my coupe turbo and been 180 mph on a gsxr, I would never do that again!!!!! For a few years anyway.

Mine has seen 140 on the clocks, true speed was probably lower than that though

The official info for top speed in catalogue as i know is 128miles/ph or 205km/ph. So there is no doubt for reaching 130 miles

I have been driving my polo with 140miles and it could get a bit more. With exactly 200km/ph the Revolutions per minute are 6000. Imagine what is the speed if it get to 6800rpm
