It's on 145,000 at the minute, kinda higher than I'd usually look at, but it's got ful VAG service, last service 3000 miles ago, loads of reciepts, no major repairs (yet lol) original gearbox, no whines, knocks or bangs, all it's past MOT certificates, with only one advisory issued in 2009 for tyres. It's had 2 previous owners, myself being the third. So really happy with it, gonna keep up the service history, it's due another cam belt in 7000 miles, get VW to service it.
The prices are really all over the place, i've been after one for a year now, so been looking at quite a few. This one seems to have been a good find, still think it's been too good to be true lol. I bought it the week before Xmas, which helped the price, but I think you'd be surprised at what I paid for it. Some of the prices seem to stretch from the sublime to the ridiculous!
You travelled up here to buy yours, haha what are the chances, I had to drive south to buy mine!

Haha silver ones are faster? Black one are stealthy, so the don't look like they're going as fast, we move swift, we move silent, well sort of.......

Haha luckily I only had to travel about 75 miles for mine, not quite as far a you, I was prepared to pay quite a bit more but thought I'd make a cheeky offer to start with and the guy took it straight away, plus he had it valleted for me before I picked it up, as I said, still seems too good to be true.........

That's strange! How far down south did you come for it?
Even tho it's 145k you've got the service history to back it up

you've got a nice buy there!
What interior did you go for?
Get a few more pics when you get chance buddy

As for the travelling was definitely worth the flight to Scotland and the drive back was driving 8 hours straight with a huge grin on my face all the way home, LOVED IT!

I headed down to just south of Newcastle for it, it's just got the standard cloth interior, not hugely keen on leather, the disco's got leather, it's either freezing or boiling! Getting seat covers for it tho, being an Ag mechanic can get kinda dirty at work, plus the seats are in really good nick, so want to try and keep them that way.
What i do want to get is a new set of mats, was a set on ebay today but missed out on them because of work.
Jeez I thought the driving home with a huge smile on your face was just me! Although I was paranoid about listening for every wee clunk or whirr lol
Black GTI owners of the UK, unite against the evil of 'The Silver Ones'..........

Understandable for the seats and covers mate!
The leather can get too hot with the heating on even when you turn them off your back n bum is still roasting lol
You can unite against us silvers
