Tyre insurance people are going to pay for it so at least I'm back in the situation I was before. Just had my dad enquire to his friend about some parts and fitting so waiting to see what prices he comes back with.
On a separate note has anyone found an arm rest that's decent and compatible? Or is it a case of a new seat job? The ones I've seen are rubbish so far.

I got those mats as well. don't really like that the drivers side doesn't cover that hump on the right hand side, gets dirty really quickly.

Absolutely gutted :/
Driving to work on the m66 traffic built up and was queuing as usual I come to a full stop in the outside lane, looked in my mirror (as you do) two cars behind filtered into the inside lane looked back forward and 2 seconds later a Renault Clio rams into me doing between 50-70mph
Damage doesn't look to bad but I definitely felt it and her car and off A lot worse!
String of bad luck continues eh!? Back to VW for fixing think they've had it more than me haha

And it's happened again!! Only weeks after I've had it fixed by the plonker that hit me on the m66 some tool has crashed into my car this morning and drove off.
It's becoming more and more of a joke really haha so many issues and none that I've caused.
To be fair my street is like sheet ice but I'm guessing it was a taxi driver who's done it as it was around 7 - 7:30 this morn.

Omg! I do really feel sorry for you and this car, your first car, you've had two rear bumps, a new tyre and the fuel system sorted!

does any of your neighbours have CCTV?

I don't think any of them do :/ I'm gonna hold off getting it fixed until weather clears up a bit. Everyone thinks the cars unlucky! I haven't reported it to police or anything they'll be useless and it'll just add another statistic to my postcode and bump up insurance no doubt. Good job I kept the invoice from the crash as an estimate...
I just think its really weird how the crack has ended up in the same place as last time.
It's a good car and I do enjoy driving it just hope the string of bad luck has finished now.

It is really coincidental, was the bumper replaced or was it a case of plastic weld and respray? That may explain why it's in the same spot because it was already weakened. I've hit a bollard at around 10mph when reversing into a tesco parking spot, no damage done *touches wood*

My mrs seems to think there's too much similarity in the cracks and the positioning and seen as how nobody heard or saw the incident... She thinks VW have done a cowboy job repairing it :/ what do you guys think?
I can't see them putting all that on the invoice and not actually getting a new bumper in...

I really don't know, I suppose if it was a franchise then they could get away with it, but if it was a large company like Inchape then I'd just put it down to bad luck...

I think it probably has something underneath and when force is applied it's affecting that particular spot :/ either way what's done is done just have to deal with it.
Will have to pay out of own pocket too as don't want to be loosing my no claims
