Very tidy indeed 8) ! Im hoping to win the lottery so i can keep mine  Sounds like the 6n2 bug has bitten you, i got to the point of shouting at crows stood on other peoples cars in case mine was next! In all seriousness though, they do seem to kind of get under your skin, they have a real exclusive feel, and a head turning aesthetic about them. best of luck, and enjoy!

I've had a few bigger more powerful cars in the past, but these things are Fun and that is what a lot of driving's all about. On twisty B-roads there can't be much out there to touch it. Size and good brakes are important, especially when tractors, horses and those bloody cyclists are just around the next corner.

Thanks, yes the outside lips are silver so I think they may been repainted at some time.

Got the car back today from www.precisionporsche.co.uk in East Sussex who have done a full service and replaced the shocks all round, top mounts, discs and pads and did a Geo. It drives really well now and it's amazing the difference fresh suspension makes.

I've also fitted a set of Uniroyal Rainsport 2 tyres (which I swear by, having used them on other cars). The tyres have a 50-series profile instead of the standard 45 profile and as well as offering loads of grip in the wet and dry, they remove a little bit of harshness off the ride. Pressures set to 25 on the front and 23 on the back. Fill the arches better too. They were about £42 a corner from mytyres.

Sounds good dude. I bet it is like driving a new car.

However just make a note that a 50 profile will put your speedo out slightly due to the larger circumference of the wheel and it will also effectively gear up your car resulting on more strain on your gearbox. This is not a huge issue but just wanted to make sure you knew, which i am sure you do. Make sure you dont get any speeding tickets with a speedo that under reads

I'm running 50s now and the speedo isn't much out at all. It's barely noticeable

Your tyre pressures are a bit low though mate. Raise the front to 30 and the rears to 28

25/23 will cause uneven wear.

Okay thanks. I got the pressures from the fuel filler. Are they different for 50 -profiles?

The fuel filler pressures are a bit low in my experience.

50s will be perfect on 28 all round :)

Nooo

Max for heavy weight is 34/32 I think

But yes they are in bar

I think it's 1.9/1.9 or 2.3/2.1 for heavy loads

Yes, it is currently for sale on Pistonheads. It was my intention in the beginning to sell and get a 5-door Golf which would suit the family better. However, I won't be sad to keep it.

Please get in touch if you're interested.
