Really?
Mine is a Polo 6R, seems odd that it would have a 6Q part number?
Anyway assuming I can get hold of the stalk is the installation just the same? 3 wires and coding? Did you say you had the wiring diagram handy?

6Q0 relates form 2009 - mid 2012
6R0 is for end 2012 - onwards
You can fit the 6R0 but then you need to change the slip ring too

What kinda price is the slip ring? That sounds like it should be cheap but you never can tell. I've had a look on fleebay for the 6Q part and can only find the ones WITHOUT the trip computer but there are a few with the 6R0953521A part number. Do you by any chance have the part number of the slip ring? and then I will need the pin outs so I can wire it up
Thanks alot for you help

Bump
will also include the 3x wires to make it work and instructions
I fitted a stalk set with cruise
adding the 3x wires and coding = working trip computer controlled by stalk

Ed I'll take this if it will work with my daughters Polo 6R 2012 and you give me a rough idea on how to fit it before I buy it. Just to see if I will be able to do it or if its destined to end up just sitting in my toolbox for a few years!
From VCDS I have:
Address 17 gives me 6R0 920 960 G

follow the guide to take the wheel off, and take the stalk off
http://www.uk-polos.net/view ... 10&t=54171
insert 3x wires in the plug and 3x wires in the cluster plug

Sorry I had totally forgot about this.
Cheers Ed, the guide seems easy enough to follow but what plug and what cluster plug?

you fit 3x wires in the plug on the steering column
The cluster is removed and the plug which plugs into the cluster is where the wires go
