You won't make a hash of it, give it a try, personally I wouldn't use T CUT but if you feel comfortable with it then use it. The worst it will do is make the area look a little hazed which SRP will sort out.

I'd make a balls ... Would using auto glym super resin polish by itself do anything? My friend says that the body shop won't even fill it in , because I have metallic paint they'll need to spray the whole door

Sorry for being a completely dumbo but is there a chance that if I polish the door with resin polish that it will scratch the whole door? What is different about it and a polish that just sits as a layer above the paint? Is there a chance ill remove paint from the car lol

You only need to polish the scratch; not the whole door. The polish will just buff the scratch out mate, no harm can be done. I can speak for myself and others - we've all had scratches like that and polish sorts it. It doesn't look like a deep scratch, just on the surfaceaaronon wrote:Sorry for being a completely dumbo but is there a chance that if I polish the door with resin polish that it will scratch the whole door? So there's no way I'd take a big circular patch of metallic grey out of the door and then have a big swirly mess in its place lol

Cool. Ill try it! Am I right in saying that unlike seeing if a body shop can fill it in... The resin polish basically just tries to fill in the gap and then will come out next time I wash the car?

Re: Small scratches and stuff?
lol you're very paranoid! Using SRP all over will make your car look tonnes better, it fills swirls and scratches but it lasts a few washes, it's better if you put a wax on top!
Re: Small scratches and stuff?
Haha I was just wondering if I was fixing the scratch or hiding it lol.
I usually use collinite so ill do the super resin polish and then do the collinite on top

I haven't done the finger nail test. . .I'll die if it gets it out haha. Just from happiness. Have looked up a lot of G3 videos and apparently it really is amazing! Going to halfords tomorrow to buy it.jammydodger wrote:You want to get some G3 scratch remover on there! It's amazingly stuff, I wouldn't use SRP as it will just fill it and will eventually wash away, T-CUT will inflict a load of swirls which to me looks like perfectly good paint.
