Actually the A1 is build on the platform of the Polo...

And since neither the S1 or the Polo R exist yet it's hard to take stuff from one or the other.

Insurance group £££££ ???
M.P.G. ££££££ ???
How long will it take you to get 12 points on your licence in this ???
Would it attract car thieves ????
Where in the U.K could you enjoy its performance without killing yourself and those around you ???
Sorry
John

Hi John,
If they have made it anything like AMG then you will get 40mpg out of the engine, like the A45
Also, I would say that the owners of golf r's can enjoy the performance without killing themselves.
This is definitely not to powerful for the uk roads. A capable drive could handle it easily. Its only 250bhp for god sake's.

Wow! This is good news, just as I was changing my car to another 2ltr Turbo 4x4, this has made me stop and think, maybe tool around with a new GTi and hang around for a Polo R 4x4 2ltr turbo,

mouthwatering

that combination being mentioned when speaking of a Polo are just mind blowing.

Audi have just released the base price of the S1
£24,900 3 door
£26,530 5 door
So can we work out a possible Polo R price? 15% markup on Audi?
My estimate
£21,200 3 door
£22,500 5 door?
Seems cheap compared to the GTI starting prices.

The S1 does look a decent package.
