Is this procedure of swapping clusters a simple case of plug and play? Or do you need to re-code the new one with the mileage etc.?
Thanks

Hello everybody.
Firstly, I want to congratulate for the excellent forum to have here
I have thought of changing my cluster to an MFA +, but my car is a diesel, with the 1.6TDI engine 90hp. Is it possible? I've read somewhere that the Amarok TDI gives someone confirm?
Thanks in advance

As I understand its not just a simple plug in play its requires coding from VCDS software.

Hi,
Fitting a Amarok cluster is not straight forward, but almost. You need to need to modify the eprom to have wheel circumference, braking fluid floater, fuel gauge and pictogram fit the Polo. But it can be done:

Great news for owners of POLO 6R TDI.
I guess in the POLO 6R all parameters will be established with the
function guided of VAS 5054. (diagnostic tool VW)

Hi,
The eeprom has to be edited, with suiting software. There are no guides to do this, currently only potatodog has the tools and needed custom eprom.

Good Afternoon all of you how wants to swap Instrument Cluster.I will tell you steps that needs to swap cluster from lowline to highline GTI.
1. Step one to transfer data from old cluster to new like Km driven service record etc.
2.Step second which is very important must be done in VW service center is online coding of key with immoblizer.Whole process takes about 7 to 10 minute. If vw personel are friends than it will be done in no cost otherwise they will not do this job.In this step data from vw server is taken and feeded to new cluster so that key work otherwise car will not start.
