I'm guessing that the new elbow has a one way valve in it if the original didn't, is so that will stop the fluid draining back down the tubes so give you quicker response from the washer.

I used to use Holts all season concentrate, now marketed under another name (Prestone?) and use it diluted two parts water to one part concentrated screen wash - just thought - "I had always thought that I was diluting it 3:1 but not so - I buy a 5 litre container, have 3 old containers so split the 5 litre conc wash stuff across the 3 old containers, then top them up with water". If I was being really organised, I would have a few containers filled with 4:1 for summer use, but life is too short for that!!

I think the Pt No is 3BO-955-665-C but the label is marked 'support' and not 'elbow' , I do not think it has a non return valve as I can blow through it both ways.

Strange, I was just thinking that as it has a significant increase in diameter on the "body" and a black section, that it would have been a one way valve, so I wonder why it is shaped like that?

The back metal is the retaining clip -sorry I had left the blanking plug in for the previous pic - here is another with the blank removed....
