Ok, I want to install new BCM 7E0937090C, LED headlights and AFS now. I using a china Auto lights module for the halogen headlights. I suppose it is difficult to use for LED headlights. :? I am sure I will mount OEM RLS. HBA requires new IC and new Stalk.

From the moment you do the wiring installation for the BCM Max adaptation you should completely forget about the Chinese Kit for automatic lights. Yes, I know that once you have the habit of using automatic lights it is difficult to live without them.

In the first place you could install the wiring for BCM Max adaptation (cheap, I think) and later make other decisions regarding the new equipments you want to install.

When you make the decision to install the RLS this must be of the new 5K7 models due to the retention/holder plate, it will allow you to make the following decisions regarding the HBA or not.

5K7 RLS implies the new models of automatic dimming mirror like those of POLO 6C or other VW models.

Exactly! Yes, I think that is the right way. Too wires
Buying all materials is not difficult but install new mirror is not easy and now I don't want to think about it (windscreen)

So, all you have to do now is this:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... TB6Smh1cVU
You also have to isolate the wires T17/6, T17/7 from your T17 original light switch connector.

I have explained countless times here in the forum the reason for each pin assignment, my mind would break if I had to do it again.
This image will help you understand the WL2
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2nv91 ... sp=sharing (red/green arrows)

The coding of your new BCM is based on the installed wires, I think this should be the natural logic of all those who want to do this type of installations.

I will help you in the BCM coding as well if you collaborate providing the information with total clarity, that is, apart from everything discussed above (thanks for that) you must tell us even the smallest change you have made previously in all the lights of your 6R, i.e, from halogen/filament bulbs to LED bulbs, etc ...

Your original fog lamp installation is perfect in combination with LED headlights.

Thanks! I updated my wiring. Can you paste one discussion link about it? I didn't find one  and I would check my wiring by me.

The wiring of my halogen headlights is OEM. The chinese module for Auto lights is plug and play. It is plugged between T17 connector and Auto lights switch connector.

New LED headlights will be connected in this way:
Left:
T14 / 1 - AFS T26 / 17
T14 / 2 - AFS T26 / 19
T14 / 3 - AFS T26 / 16
T14 / 4 - AFS T26 / 18
T14 / 5 - halogen connector T10 / 5
T14 / 6 - halogen connector T10 / 6
T14 / 7 - halogen connector T10 / 5
T14 / 8 - halogen connector T10 / 1
T14 / 9 - halogen connector T10 / 9
T14 / 10 - BCM T73b / 5 PWM LED DRL
T14 / 11 - halogen connector T10 / 8
T14 / 12 - BCM T73b / 3 Power LED DRL
T14 / 13 - Vacant
T14 / 14 - BCM T73b / 28 PWM projector

Right:
T14 / 1 - AFS T26 / 15
T14 / 2 - AFS T26 / 21
T14 / 3 - AFS T26 / 22
T14 / 4 - AFS T26 / 20
T14 / 5 - halogen connector T10 / 5
T14 / 6 - halogen connector T10 / 6
T14 / 7 - halogen connector T10 / 5
T14 / 8 - halogen connector T10 / 1
T14 / 9 - halogen connector T10 / 9
T14 / 10 - T73b / 6 PWM LED DRL
T14 / 11 - halogen connector T10 / 8
T14 / 12 - T73a / 5 Power LED DRL
T14 / 13 - Vacant
T14 / 14 - T73b / 56 PWM projector

Good

BUT there is a problem. I sold the original lights switch (manual)
Can I use Auto lights switch without "Auto" function? (with a cable adapter)

Or I can buy a 7E0 857 511G RLS Mirror with HBA.

@firegrafik
Perhaps the PWM in T14/14 is related to the Byte29 Bit5 BCM, which must be active. Have you checked it with your BCM coding?

However, in the previous pin-assignment the T14/14 are wrong, being:

Left headlight:
T14/14 - BCM T73b/56 PWM

Right headlight:
T14/14 . BCM T73b/28 PWM

I don't have byte 29 bit 5 activated but my LED headlights work fine in every setting.

Code: Select all

IIRC, activating it caused the MF steering wheel buttons to dysfunction.

You remember incorrectly.
You are talking about the Byte29 Bit6 and, if the electrical installation and units are correct, the MFSW buttons work perfectly.

Yes you are right, I was wrong when wrote the descriptions, but my wiring is correct.
At the weekend I tried Byte29 Bit5, nothing new happened

@firegrafik
Ok.
Making assumptions, I wonder ...
- Have you checked if any of the exterior lights come on when you open the boot lid?

- I suppose that T73b/56 and T73b/28 are outputs of PWM towards the LED headlights modules, these two wires are indicated in the Erwin only for T6 models with rear lid.

Note: There are still no definitions about the BCM pins in the latest Erwin update. :(

I don't have the open-button on the boot lid, so I could open it through the switch in the driver's door, manually with the key on lid or remote control.
So when I open the boot lid with the remote key I have Leaving Home (if there is low brightness outside) working as like as unlocking the doors.
Any other opening ways nothing more happens with exterior lights.

firegrafik, I know you have a Sedan (notchback), your switch for opening the rear lid on the driver's door works with the same signal as our switch located on the tailgate.
In both cases the rear lid/tailgate contact switch/es work with same signals, except 6R hatchback has an additional signal for trunk light.

Have you checked the exterior lights with the light switch in 0 position (not Auto) and when opening the rear lid with the driver's door switch?

I suppose it is becase that AFS control unit has EEPROM set (parametrization) for T5, so it rejects any other coding.
I’ve installed the AFS module in mine. all wires connected except the last 3wires for rear axle sensor as i still waiting for the bracket. Anyhow, my AFS also reject the coding when i tried to follow the 6R standard coding. I hope its just because the sensor is not connected. Or am i using the wrong module? the first byte from the module is 03.

EDITED: Just connected the leveling sensor and do the basic settings. no error. n everything works fine except the AFS coding 03 and not 01 for 6R. code still rejected.

thank you ciclo. but i Tested that code. still rejected when i tried changing 03 to 01. even with security access entered before the log coding update.
