From factory when I got my 6R in 2012, there’s no protection. But due to hot weather climate here, the next replacement parts all got those protection. But somehow, the failure rate of the ignition cable is still 80-90k km for me.

It can be purchased from a VW dealer when it's available at the ETKA.

What do you mean by when it's available at the ETKA? Will they be available here in the UK?

I meant that new parts that are somewhat special take a while to be available for sale, even at VW dealers.
The parts catalog (ETKA) must be updated in order to request these parts.

I don't know if they will be available in the UK through the VW dealers.

Just to make it clearer for me, does this car use the dq200? If so, can my 1.2 tsi with 110bhp and dsg can handle this amount of torque?

a DQ200 is specced up to 250Nm and not more but some people go up to about 320Nm with a remap and adaptations on the DSG ECU.
