Is yours blue?

I was passed by a blue one the other day on the A404.
Took my current Polo in for a service the other day in Maidenhead and the guy who handled it told me that he had had a new GTi in on the same day as mine.
As there are not many and I understand you are in the same area as I, I assume, either rightly or wrongly, that it was probably you.

Although I do frequent the A404 occasionally, it wasn't me. Mine's Limestone grey. It's a GTI+ and has a PO10 number plate..

Results are in for Q3 and given that theoretically, there should have been none registered after September 1st due to WLTP, this should be an accurate answer.

I'm amazed that GTI outsells GTI+, bearing in mind how much better value the + is (£2800 of kit for £1600 which depreciate at the car's rate, so as cheap on a PCP as adding just £800 of options). Even if you only want the LEDs on your GTI it's cheaper to PCP a GTI+ than to add the LEDs add an option to a GTI.

So with about 200 dealerships in the UK, we're averaging 3 per dealership - not an even split though. In May when I ordered mine as a grab on unallocated stock, the saleswoman at Listers group had access to one GTI and 4 GTI+ at that time plus whatever they had as proper customer orders placed.

I have not seen another GTI or GTI+, with the exception of a reef blue GTI for sale in my local dealership.

If you look at Autotrader as of today, all but 1 of the 11 for sale are none plus GTIs, with many of them having Active info display and a good spec.
All of these cars have a registration starting with K, the same as the UK press cars, which makes me think that they are all Ex VW UK cars. Maybe VW UK ordered their staff cars in none plus form with extras which may go some way to explaining the ratio of non-plus to plus registrations.

How do I confirm whether my polo GTI plus is a pre-wltp?
My car was registered on June 2018 and I have had a look under the vehicle and all I can see is a resinator.

If Iam correct WLTP polo were made from around september 2018. Also if you have GTI then CZPC is pre WLTP engine code and DKZC if post WLTP

My GTI was built 2019/03 with engine code CZPC w/WLTP installed.

CZPC/DKZC as WTLP indication works only for europe. CZPC don't have GPF and DKZC have GPF. South Africa don't force usage of GPF right?

Correct it is not enforced in ZAR as yet.

Ive tried to take a photo of the WLTP so everyone can see what it looks like but once the vehicle is on the lift and hoisted its kind of tricky to get a clear image.

Thank you, this will help to confirm when I have the vehicle up on the hoist again. To be honest I recall the angled box (closest to engine) as smooth and not ribbed as per the image 2.

Yours is pre WLTP
Pretty much any car registered in 2018 is pre WLTP as there was a gap between production of pre and post WLTP Polo GTIs
I’m pretty sure Model year is a clear indicator too.
MY18 Pre WLTP (10th character of VIN = ‘J’)
MY19 Post WLTP (10th character of VIN = ‘K’) with GPF and two USB Charging points for rear passengers.

Your correct, my vin has a J on the 10th character and I dont have USB chargers at the back
