Or a mobility scooter .. seriously though, one and a half miles, you can walk that in 20 minutes and get healthy. Even a little push scooter (the kind that were used by children but are now used by adults) would be ideal.

I get these sorts of comments when I mention I only live 3 miles from work.
"Walk it"
"Get a pushbike"
The fact is the people making these comments have no clue about the type of roads involved.
There are no pavements to walk on, cycling is not allowed on the type of road.
Perhaps Grudgey's 1.5 miles was equally impossible in anything other than a car.
