Re: Polo GTi + Driving Modes
We are all concerned of course not to fall foul of the motorway and other average speed cameras. Does anybody know or 'tested' the accuracy of our Polo's speedometer at 70 MPH. Often compared to a standalone sat nav car's speedometers are overriding by 7% or more

To test the accuracy of your speedo and cruise control, do any of your mates have a Tomtom or a Garmin sat nav? They use at least 3 satellites to pinpoint your position they also give a nigh on damit correct speed. Put one in your car and see if there is any difference in the readings?
As for ACC, on straight roads or with slight bends, the ACC is good, it becomes a bit confused when the car in front turns left and as the road gets wider for them to turn left, if they really slow down and creep round the corner the radar still detects them, the road in front of you may be clear, but the radar still see's them. Until they move out of range, you can be stuck in the middle of the road, with a clear road ahead
